VERDE SERVICES: Verde Services Scales Fast with Integrated Green Energy Solutions
With experience across mechanical and electrical engineering and renewable energy development, Gary and Luke Dwyer co-founded Verde Services to meet growing demand for practical, integrated decarbonisation solutions across the UK. Today, the company is expanding its national footprint and earning a reputation as a trusted delivery partner across commercial and public sector infrastructure.
In a rapidly evolving UK energy infrastructure landscape, few firms have made their mark as quickly as Verde Services. Formally incorporated in December 2023 and beginning full operations in September 2024, the business has already established a strong foundation across key decarbonisation sectors.
Built on combined experience in traditional mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracting and renewable energy development, Verde was launched to provide something the market increasingly needs: a single, accountable partner that can design, install, and maintain integrated green energy systems.
“We started trading just over a year ago, and things have accelerated quickly,” Luke Dwyer tells Energy Focus. “Our year-one figures were modest, but we are already on track to deliver over ten times that turnover in our second year. That forecast runs through to March 2026, but we are already more than 80 percent of the way there. We are growing with purpose, not just taking on work, but building the team and systems to deliver it well.”
Co-founder, Gary Dwyer, adds: “From the outset, we knew there was a gap for a delivery partner that understands both legacy infrastructure and new technology. Clients do not just want innovation, they want reliability, integration, and clear communication. That is where we come in.”
COMPLETE PACKAGE
Verde delivers integrated renewable energy systems including solar power, battery storage, and heat pumps, all designed to work smoothly with existing building infrastructure. This ability to retrofit new technology into legacy systems is one of Verde’s strengths, making the company a practical partner for clients looking to decarbonise without undertaking full scale overhauls.
“We can integrate heat pumps with existing infrastructure, and solar with legacy electrical systems,” says Luke. “We take projects from feasibility through to installation and handover, and continue supporting them through ongoing maintenance – that is the full package,”
Verde’s operational reach now spans the entire UK, supported by a national supply chain that underpins all aspects of its M&E and Renewable projects. “We are currently working with a client that has over 80 sites from Aberdeen to Southampton,” says Gary. “They want consistency across the portfolio and that is what we can deliver.”
The nature of Verde’s work has also prompted a shift in delivery model. “On a number of projects, we have taken principal contractor status,” Luke explains. “Rather than the client employing a builder who then brings us in, we have flipped that. M&E typically makes up the majority of the contract value, so it makes more sense for us to lead and bring in a builder where needed.”
PROJECT MOMENTUM
Verde is currently delivering projects across multiple sectors, including healthcare, local government, student accommodation, and central government facilities.
“We are active on a number of sites at the moment,” says Luke. “That includes hospitals such as North Manchester General, Warrington, and Southport, as well as sites within the Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, including Tameside, Oldham, Fairfield, and Manchester.”
The company is also engaged with local authorities, housing providers, and education sector clients, all seeking to decarbonise without disruption to live operations.
In March 2025, Verde signed a strategic partnership with Smart Solar Technologies, a Turkish manufacturer and EPC contractor aiming to enter the UK market. As part of the agreement, Verde will support local project delivery and act as a distribution partner for solar panels manufactured in Turkey using EU-sourced materials.
“Smart Solar Technologies, a multinational solar technologies company headquartered in Turkey looking to expand its presence in overseas markets, and we are set to deliver their UK work and support panel distribution,” says Gary. “The panels are built in Turkey using European cells and materials with full traceability, which is a key selling point for many clients.”
The partnership also opens the door to future UK-based assembly operations and positions Verde to play a central role in Smart Solar Technologies’ pipeline of utility scale projects currently progressing through planning and grid connection.
SMART GROWTH
Verde operates with a focused internal team and a delivery model built around trusted subcontractors, giving the business the capacity to deliver complex projects without compromising quality or timelines.
“We have long standing relationships in place across ventilation, ductwork, thermal insulation, BMS, pipework, electrical, PV, fire safety and more,” says Gary. “In each area, we work with several trusted subcontractors, and we match the right partner to each project depending on size, location, and technical requirements.”
Every supplier goes through a comprehensive onboarding process to ensure they meet the standards Verde has set from the beginning.
“We are proud of the trusted relationships we have with many of our partners,” adds Luke. “As we grow into new regions, we are also building new relationships. Everyone we work with is expected to meet the same standards for quality, safety, and delivery. That never changes.”
Combined Contracting Services, based in Merseyside, is the perfect example. A leading A-grade thermal insulation and heat tracing contractor specialising in commercial and industrial applications, CCS continues to deliver quality service and high value across collaboration with Verde.
As the company continues to grow, brand identity has remained a key focus. Verde recently relocated to a 5,500m² office that reflects its commitment to sustainability and its role as a commercial turnkey decarbonisation partner.
“We purchased the new office as part of a long-term strategy,” says Gary. “It is not just a workspace, it is a statement of how we operate. From the live walls to on-site low carbon tech, it reflects what we offer to clients.”
This flexible but controlled operating model allows Verde to scale while maintaining delivery standards. As the business takes on larger projects in more locations, its ecosystem continues to grow with a strong focus on consistency and repeatable results.
READY FOR DEMAND
Verde’s approach is captured in its strapline: Building the sustainable future today. With increasing pressure on the UK’s built environment to decarbonise, demand for integrated, accountable delivery partners continues to grow.
“We come from a mechanical and electrical background,” says Luke. “Before launching Verde, I worked with a Tier One contractor on major projects across the northwest, then moved into renewables where I focused on pre-construction for solar and battery systems. Verde is the result of that crossover, understanding both how to build and how to decarbonise.”
That technical foundation, combined with a tightly managed delivery model, has positioned the business for its next phase of growth.
“We are growing the team to keep pace with demand,” says Gary. “There is a strong pipeline of enquiries and high-quality opportunities in front of us.”
When the team arrives on site, one thing stands out: the green tick on the company logo. “It’s a simple thing,” Luke adds. “But it reflects how we work – ticking every box, doing things properly, and delivering to a standard we’re proud of.”
For a company built on engineering principles and driven by practical sustainability, Verde Services is positioned to lead in the M&E and renewable energy space. As infrastructure decarbonisation gathers pace, the company’s mission is clear: total decarbonisation delivered with turnkey precision.
