EVERRATI: Iconic Electrification

18 July 2025

Demonstrating sustainable transition strategies in the transportation sector is a challenge but at the very pinnacle of the industry is Everrati, the world’s premier conversion engineers, breathing more than new life into old classics.

Since its foundation in 2019, Everrati has carved out a unique space at the crossroads of classic auto craftsmanship and cutting-edge electric engineering. Based in the UK, the company draws on a world-class roster of alumni from Jaguar, Lotus, McLaren, and Porsche. That expertise hasn’t just been stamped, it has been meticulously woven into every reengineered Porsche 911 (964), Land Rover Series IIA, Mercedes-Benz SL ‘Pagoda’, Range Rover Classic and GT40 that rolls out of its facility.

It’s one thing to strip out an internal combustion engine and drop in a battery; it’s another entirely to create a full OEM-grade EV conversion that honours every tactile cue and emotional nuance of a heritage icon. Behind Everrati’s workshop doors, former OEM engineers obsess over door-close feel, chassis dynamics and analogue quirk, while ensuring zero-emissions reliability. This is engineering with soul, and it shows.

In 2024, CEO Justin Lunny told Energy Focus that the company was on a strong growth trajectory. That success has continued into 2025.

Recent months have underscored that Everrati is not simply transforming old cars. The business is redefining what it means to be an EV company. These aren’t just electrified classics; they are precision-engineered icons for a new age, offering the unmistakable silhouette and nostalgic essence of timeless vehicles, all powered by whisper-quiet, zero-emission technology that performs on par with, or better than, many modern sports cars.

NEW DESIGNS

One of the standout moments in Everrati’s story came in August 2024 with the unveiling of the Evergreen Commission—the company’s first customer-specified Porsche 964 RSR homage. Speaking with pride, Lunny said: “We’re delighted to unveil the very first customer specified RSR homage. The ‘Evergreen Commission’ is a sublime example of sustainable luxury and it’s been a real delight to commission this unique vehicle with Steve Rimmer, a genuine automotive enthusiast, and hugely influential motorsport personality, who innately understands our ethos of futureproofing icons so that they can be enjoyed by today’s generation, and tomorrow’s too.”

That blend of heritage and future was fully realised in the vehicle itself—lightweight, beautifully sculpted, and fitted with an electric drivetrain that could embarrass the original. For Lunny, it’s about more than performance figures. “We’re thrilled to have been able to bring his vision for an all-electric, RSR-inspired Porsche 964 to life. This is a car, and Everrati is a brand that appeals to both the head and the heart. Blending the legendary look of a design icon and modern convenience that incorporates ultra-responsive, clean electric performance – all underpinned by our signature, bespoke, handcraftsmanship.”

The Evergreen Commission was then showcased at The Bridge in 2024, a debut event for the company, where it was met with acclaim and curiosity from across the classic motoring world. “We are thrilled to be part of The Bridge for the first time and to showcase the Evergreen Commission,” Lunny shared. “It epitomises Everrati’s mission to combine the beauty of classic automotive design with future-proofed electric technology. This vehicle is a prime example of Everrati’s expertise in transforming iconic models into sustainable works of art and embodies our ethos of preserving the spirit of iconic vehicles.”

GLOBAL REACH

In February 2025, the company reached a significant milestone with its first ever Canadian delivery. The project was another bespoke commission, this time known as the Lighthouse Commission, created for a collector who wanted something truly unique—a car that could echo their personal history while remaining functional, reliable and perfectly suited to daily use in an all-weather climate.

This latest commission reflects Everrati’s ability to blend aesthetic purity with practicality. According to Lunny: “The Lighthouse Commission’s transformation is a testament to Everrati’s ability to redefine icons for a new era. This commission was built as a reflection of our client’s passion, personality, and vision and we’re delighted to see it on the roads of an exciting new market for the company.”

Unlike many restomods, this wasn’t a showpiece destined for climate-controlled garages. “The new Everrati Lighthouse is so much more than a visual masterpiece; this vehicle is designed for real-world use,” Lunny explained. “The client challenged us to create a vehicle that captures the timeless, enduring appeal of the 964 while delivering reliability with daily, year-round driving in mind.”

Shortly after the delivery of the Lighthouse Commission, Everrati launched its ‘Carte Blanche’ programme, a creative concept led by a former Aston Martin colour and materials specialist. This unique service allows clients complete freedom over every visual and tactile detail of their commission—from body colour and trim materials to the stitching of the seats. The intention is clear: no two Everratis need ever be the same.

TECH PARTNERSHIPS

Not content with aesthetic or mechanical reinvention, Everrati is also leading innovation on the software side. February 2025 saw the announcement of a strategic partnership with SODA, a software-driven mobility platform. Together, the two firms have created what they believe is the world’s first software-defined EV powertrain designed specifically for the luxury and niche automotive segment.

This new powertrain architecture allows owners and OEM clients alike to access features such as cruise control, torque vectoring, regenerative braking, traction control and more, through modular software updates. This innovation places Everrati squarely in the emerging field of upgradeable vehicles—where performance and convenience features can be updated and improved via over-the-air connections, rather than locked into a car’s hardware from day one.

Lunny sees this as central to the company’s value proposition. “One theme continues to dominate from all the conversations we have with enthusiasts no matter what their age: the unabashed enthusiasm for sustainable, electrically powered luxury and performance cars. All our models, whether they are in-house developed or the result of strategic partnerships, are meticulously hand-built, using OEM-grade processes and absolute dedication to detail. They are all rolling pieces of art, futureproofed and capable of being enjoyed by new generations. It’s this unique combination which continues to resonate with new buyers and collectors.”

Recently, Everrati returned to the spotlight with a presence at the 2025 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The company showcased two of its most striking vehicles—the electric GT40 and a redefined 964 Signature model—each generating buzz among enthusiasts and professionals alike. The brand also used the event to tease a ‘bold new look’ that hints at what’s coming next in the company’s evolving design language.

Events like these serve not just as marketing platforms but as cultural markers for the EV transition within the heritage automotive world. Seeing iconic vehicles like the GT40—immortalised by endurance racing legends—reborn as clean-energy machines reinforces the sense that the EV revolution is now reaching parts of the automotive world previously thought untouchable.

LEADING THE CHARGE

As the dust settles on a busy and successful 18 months, one thing is crystal clear: Everrati is not merely electrifying cars—it is electrifying an entire conversation around sustainability, heritage and emotion. This is a company that respects provenance but is never bound by it. With one foot in Le Mans and the other in tomorrow’s green cities, Everrati occupies a space few others dare to enter.

The company’s growing client base, rising profile, strategic collaborations, and commitment to quality have set it apart as a standard-bearer in the sustainable luxury market. For Lunny and the team, this is more than a business; it’s a belief system. “The buzz it gives our team and the people we talk to is what makes me proud. We have created a movement and that is exciting.”

As more global customers step forward with new commissions, and as new technology partnerships take root, Everrati’s mission becomes ever clearer. The future of mobility doesn’t have to abandon the past. Instead, it can celebrate it—quietly, cleanly, and thrillingly.
